HertsPrems Outreach Success

Alot has happened since our last blog, so feel that an update is due at this point where we remain ever indebted to our supporters who continue to deliver.  HertsPrems  has reached out to many who have had their own personal encounter with premature births and been a part of this special cause; to raise awareness of Prematurity, Survival Rates and the good work of our local hospitals.

HertsPrems fundraising campaign has inspired others to join the fundraising efforts

bringing HertsPrems campaign to a little over £20,000. This year to date, we have had HertsPrems champions take part in a Marathon supporting twins Owen and Florence, Cyclathon for Anais and 1st of a Annual Golf Tournament in Memory of Tilly Jean.

From the humble beginnings of two mums feeling the need initially to raise vital funds for local neonatal units, to being supported by the growing number of fellow peers and supporters who have encouraged us to plough ahead.  Many feel encoutaged by HertsPrems ethos to support others who are going through the premature birth experience; thanks to technology many feel they are no longer alone.

A common understanding that we are not alone, we are not the first parents to have premature babies, and we are not going to disappear, HertsPrems is forging ahead.  We are making headway in local communities, recently in Hatfield at the Lister Neonatal Fun Day.  HertsPrems supported Tracy Farrer and her family who raised a whopping £782.

HertsPrems will be at The Bushey Family Fun Day on 17/08/2014 between 12:00 – 17:00 at King George Park, Bushey; organised Hertsmere Motivate4events.  We hope to bring further awareness of our cause and highlight future fundraising events whilst networking and forming lasting partnerships, come along and meet the team.

Our newest HertsPrems champion Emilie-Mai MacCormack will be at the Fun Day, you can read her about her journey at

Emilie will be hosting a Mum2Mums Sales on 06/09/2014 at Elm Court Community Centre, Potters Bar, please kindly support her in raising money in aid the Starlight Neonatal Team at Barnet Hospital.
